Many have seen this iconic image of Mickey Mouse and a firefighter together. Right now, that firefighter needs all of us to hope and pray for him.

In that photo is Captain Dave Baker who is a Anaheim Firefighter Association Local 2899 and IAFF Team 10 member. Dave was a rookie at the time this portrait was created. Now, he’s a captain and fighting for his life as he’s on a ventilator in ICU.

He is battling COVID-19.

Captain Dave is one of seven from Anaheim Fire who are battling the Coronavirus, but he is the most critical. Let’s all hope and pray they make it through this!

They’ve been there for us. Let’s do all we can to be there for them! °o°

Two firefighters lost their lives fighting a fire in the City of Porterville. Rest in peace brothers.
Structure fire on the 1600 block of Sunset St. Crews are making an aggressive interior attack. A man was pulled to safety by his brother, prior to the arrival of the BFD. If not for the quick actions of the home owner, his brother would have had serious, if not fatal injuries from this fire.

First off, let’s give a big thank-you to the people that are truly responsible for last night and made it happen....The tax payers in Barstow, without measure Q money, last night would not have happened! Your Barstow Professional Firefighters Association thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The BPFA also wants to thank the city council for fulfilling their promise to the citizens of Barstow. This is a great first step in the full implementation of our five year strategic plan. Congratulations to all of the hard working members of the Barstow Professional Firefighters Association L.2325. Last night was truly a night for all to celebrate, as this marks a huge step forward for this great organization. Assistant Chief Sid Hultquist, Battalion Chief’s Steve Ross, Nick Dinapoli, and Keith Velotta, Captain John Wymore and Firefighter Daniel Harrell. Your hard work has payed off.
